3. Open the **step 2 video.psd** image file by using the File→Open command. Save this file as **step2.psd** in your **_Working_** folder.
The first layer in this image is a background, and the next three are a logo, text, and a secondary logo, all of which are editable.
4. Choose **Layer 1.** In the Layers palette, click the first layer, which should now appear above the canvas. Choose **Edit** ⇒ **Layer Styles**. With Layer Style set to **Gradient Overlay**, click the right mouse button (Windows) or press the _F_ key (Mac) and pick a color that represents a company logo (see Figure 2-27).
Figure 2-27. Top: A gradient overlay provides a different look from a layer style. Bottom: Use Gradient Overlay to add a gradient overlay.
Now, type the word “customers” in the layer’s text entry area, as shown in Figure 2-28. The process of changing the text layer’s appearance is based on the Gradient Overlay style, and to keep this tutorial tight, the text color is black.
Figure 2-28. In a similar way, add text to the bottom layer with an Underline effect, as shown here.
5. Choose **Filter** ⇒ **Blur** and set the Radius to 40 pixels.
6. Open the **Cents-Two.psd** image file. Click the layer containing the second logo and choose **Edit** ⇒ **Layer Styles**. With the Layer Style set to **Drop Shadow** and the **Angle** set to 45 degrees, click the right mouse button (Windows) or press the _F_ key (Mac), as shown in Figure 2-29.
Figure 2-29. Drop Shadow creates a subtle shadow to the logo’s bottom.
7. Add the text “Serving Customers” below the logo. Choose **Filter** ⇒ **Blur** and the Radius set to 10 pixels to blur the text.
You can also use the Gaussian Blur filter, which controls how the edges of the image are blurred.
Although this filter provides a blurry effect, it’s a good idea to switch to the **Local Contrast** filter to adjust the contrast of the image.

The following article will explain in detail how to change the default Photoshop Elements color profile from sRGB to Adobe RGB and vice versa.
Table of contents
Both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Elements are widely used for image editing. For most purposes, they will do the job, but for better quality and color management, it is better to use Adobe Photoshop for high quality image editing.
SRGB color spaces are based on the monitor and do not match the display standard of either Apple or Google devices. If you color correct your images to Adobe RGB, you will have smoother colors when you save the images with better quality.
Although Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Elements use the same color space as the monitor (SRGB), the monitor will not display all the colors in its gamut. For example, when you go to the AdobeRGB Color Picker, you will only see the colors in the AdobeRGB color space. Therefore, you will need to manually edit your images to fit the AdobeRGB gamut.
When you are satisfied with your image, you can save your edited image with the correct color space. Even though the default Photoshop Elements color profile is sRGB, you can change it to Adobe RGB or vice versa by the following steps:
Adobe Photoshop & Photoshop Elements:
Download Adobe RGB Profiles
Go to File > Save For Web
Browse to the folder where you want to save the profile
Click on the Color Settings button
Go to Color Conversion Tab
Select Adobe RGB from the list of color space profiles
In the Save For Web dialog, set the quality to High
That’s it! Now the new file will have the desired color space.
